W.B.W.

Welcome to my very first Wedded Bliss Wednesday.  I figured, rather than throwing a picture on here and saying nothing a la "Wordless Wednesday", I would join with Life After Blog and Table for MORE and use my words to shine a light on and build up my wonderful husband.  So here at RegiCreate, we're gonna spend Wednesdays talking about those lovely people who walk through life with us, loving us all the way.  I encourage you to participate and link up with the others.  You can vlog your posts, write your posts, interview your husbands, let your husband guest post - get creative!!

I cannot wait to read/watch what you have to say!  So without further ado, I'd like to introduce you officially to my husband, Joshua.

I know you've seen him around here, but I wanted to remind y'all of what he looks like.  You may remember him from the garden boxes post.  He built me a garden.  :)  He's 28 years young.  He and I met in high school and married at 19 years old.  Now while I can't say everyone is ready to marry young, and it wasn't always easy finding our way on our own at such a young age, I don't regret it and wouldn't change it for the world.  We always said that not only would we grow old together, we would grow up together   And we did.  And still are.  The Lord has led us on some amazing adventures together, through some valleys together and everywhere in between.  We have two beautiful children together, two with Jesus, and one on the way.  Through all life's crazy, fun, busy, lazy, difficult, blessed, and uncertain times, he's been a constant and steady support, friend and partner.  I'm blessed.

What is your husband's favorite thing to do?

I would say his favorite thing to do is learn..... He's a scholar at heart.  He is happiest when studying something.  Be it the Word, Math, Science, or Programming.... he is fascinated by this world and the complexity and beauty that the Lord created in it.  He has a passion for Apologetics and how it can be used to help in opening the eyes of academia to their need for a Savior.
Now.. that's how I would answer for him.  However, when I asked him this question, this is what he said:

Well I would have a date with you.  A morning leisurely hike to somewhere beautiful.  Lunch at a cafe an afternoon spent meandering beach shops and riding bikes.  Dinner at a nice but casual restaurant, relax in a spa and stay at a nice hotel.
That would be an awesome day
I agree.  That would be an awesome day.  And I forgot about hiking.  That might be right up there with learning.  :)

What does your husband do Monday-Friday?

My husband works Mon-Fri.  Full time.  Works hard.  Plus he's in class on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the moment.  The school varies with the semester, but there is almost always a class happening.  And that's just during the week.  There's all the home projects, family outings, homework and such that happens on the weekend.  He is many things, but lazy is not one of them.

What was the FIRST thing you noticed about your husband when you met?

The first thing I noticed.... hmmmm.....
It's hard to nail down one thing.  I think the first thing that drew me to him was his strong disdain for the worldly pursuits of our peers.  He never wanted anything to do with the party scene, the popular crowd... he cared little about being "cool" in the eyes of others.  He wanted to live righteously and serve the Lord.  He was dedicated to academics even then.... (As shown by the fact that he was valedictorian.)  I knew he was someone who would be focused, driven, responsible, dependable and honorable in all his dealings in life.  But he was goofy too... He wasn't uptight.  He could laugh and make me laugh.

What is your husband's BEST quality?

He has great taste in women.  ;)
JK!
He doesn't compromise.  If he does something, he does it right. He's honorable.  He's honest.

What is your husband's biggest pet peeve?

When people use the word "hysterical" incorrectly.
Like this:

No... it's not hysterical.  It's HILARIOUS.  Know the difference.
This is what hysterical looks like:

How does your husband feel about blogging?

He's rather indifferent to it.  If he had more time, he would like to blog through some of the things he learns as he studies the Word, but alas... there aren't enough hours in the day.  You can check the stuff he has blogged on rare occasion here:

What is something you do/can do that makes your husband feel loved?

Rub his shoulders after a long day, have dinner ready and the house clean when he gets home, tell him I love him, anything that makes his life a bit easier.

And that's it for week one!  Tune in next week for more!

If you wanna join the fun next week, here is the topic:

Next weeks questions: DATE NIGHT!
How often do you and your husband have a date night?

What did you do on your first date?

What is your favorite kind of date night?

How do you do date night on a budget?

What is the best kind of date your husband could surprise you with?!
