The triumphant birth of Mckenzee

I wanna tell you a story.

On Monday, a princess was born.  This girl is loved.  Let me tell ya!  She has a strong mother and a pillar of a father.

I got the call I'd been waiting for around 11 and was there just after noon.

With her amazing support system by her side, this mama brought her precious daughter into the world with power and determination.  Generally, right when you think you can't go on, that baby comes!  That's what happened here too.  "I can't do it" comes just before "I did it!".  It was a blessing and honor to capture little Mckenzee as she made her debut.  Welcome to the world little princess, and congratulations to your mommy and daddy.

I'm super jazzed about this endeavor.  It's always a bit nervewracking to throw yourself out there, but here I go!  Thanks to my brother and a few fantastic photography teachers, I'm on my way to fun and exciting things!  Stay tuned for progress!  

Thanks to my readers for being patient with me while I was taking time to focus on some changes.  New life, new work and a new school year are keeping me busy.  :)

This week's photo challenge

I like photo challenges.  They're fun.  I get to look at several creative and beautiful shots.  I love photography!  While I don't have the chops to do it professionally (too much pressure for me) I enjoy it as a hobby.  My camera is not fancy, I've never taken a class, I know nothing about lighting or composition, and I'm marginally creative.  That being said, I have a good time with it.  I'm just artsy at heart.  I love creation.  I love to freeze meaningful moments.  A good picture can touch your soul much like music can.  So with that being said, here is my submission for "Shadows"
